Final Fantasy VIII - Triple Triad: Card Club Quest

The Card Club, or CC Group, is a group of skilled Triple Triad players based in Garden. It is made up of students and staff members but they do not advertise their membership to the club and must be found.

Each member must be found and defeated in order; the higher ranked members will not admit their membership until the previous ranked member has been defeated.

Defeating all the members grants access to the Club members' rare cards and they become replayable on board the Ragnarok on Disc 4.

This quest must be completed before fighting Seifer in Lunatic Pandora or you can no longer complete it.

Jack:

The first CC Group member is Jack; he is the student you speak to in the lobby who tells you about the Card Club.

You must defeat him in order to challenge the next member.

Club:

After defeating Jack, you can challenge Club. He is a SeeD who can sometimes be found coming out of the dormitories and wanders around.

When challenged, he just says "Draw..." and must be defeated to move on.

Diamond:

After defeating Club, your next challenge is Diamond; they are a pair of female students who can be found near the Directory in the Lobby.

You must defeat them to move on to the next member.

Spade:

After defeating Diamond, you can challenge Spade who is the person who gave you your first cards outside the 2F elevator.

You must defeat him to move on to the next member.

Heart:

After defeating Spade, you can challenge Heart; this is Xu, Quistis' friend and she can be found on the Bridge once Garden becomes mobile.

She is the holder of the Carbuncle Card.

She must be defeated to move on to the next member.

King:

King is the leader of the Card Club and can only be challenged once you have defeated Heart.

Once you have defeated Heart, head to the infirmary and challenge Dr. Kadowaki to a game. She will tell you that she used to be King but now that role belongs to someone else.

Head to your room in the Garden Dormitory and rest and someone will speak to you (may have to rest a few time to trigger the scene).

Quistis will be in your room and challenge you as King of the Card Club. She holds the Gilgamesh Card.

Joker:

Joker, as befits his "Rank" can be played at any time and is the Balamb Garden shop keeper that can be found randomly in the Training Center.

He carries the Leviathan Card.
